New Beginnings + Trauma Healing
N E W B E G I N N I N G S are available to us. Here. Now. In the chaos. In the heartache. In the struggle. If we get really quiet and listen to our inner voice, we will find it’s telling us the message we need to hear. Sometimes, there is an emotion right under the surface. Other times, there is a thought or memory or longing that is beckoning us to check in. Maybe these feelings just need to pass through us, maybe we are terrified to look at the feelings staring us down...and maybe it’s time to allow them to have a voice.
What do you feel? What do you need? How can you love yourself through this process of getting mindful and clearing out some blocks to your best life of freedom? Healing is available. I’m taking another step toward more mindfulness based and holistic wellness. One approach I use in my counseling practice that aims to achieve this is the #internalfamilysystems model. I’m quite enamored. I’m quite obsessed.
This approach is similar to #emdr therapy, yet functions more holistically and is far reaching in its effects.
